Long ago a boy named Deimos and his older brother Asta lived in a village named Aspara. They lived in a world of corruption, evil and gore, it was all by gods that love to destroy because of boredom.
One day Deimos saw an army of soldiers that were heading to Aspara. He told his brother “Asta I just see so many soldiers and I can't stop thinking about what they are going to do, are they going to destroy our village?” Asta was confused until he looked and saw them, Asta said “I have a bad feeling about this I think we should tell the villagers."
They told their mother Asphyra. Deimos looked so scared and asked his mother if she knew these soldiers and eventually their mother looked and said “Deimos and Asta tell all the villagers to hide. these are soldiers that have no soul, they only do work for their gods” Deimos and Asta ran and told all the villagers but the soldiers we're getting very close.
Suddenly earthquakes were starting to appear and all the villagers were scared. The villagers were grabbing their belongings but suddenly the soldiers were already here. A man tried to fight them, he charged at them, one soldier decapitated the man without any effort, people saw the blood and the man's dead body and ran as fast as they could because of fear.
The villagers ran as fast as they could but were too slow because the soldiers killed the innocent people so much blood that Deimos saw. Deimos was so traumatized that his eyes we’re completely black Asta took him and said “Deimos wake up you’re going to die if you stay there” Deimos woke up and then ran. Deimos and Asta saw so many people dying and Aspara getting destroyed.
When Deimos and Asta looked behind they saw that their mother died of being stabbed both froze Asta ran to their mother Deimos followed him and Asta said “mom stop playing you c-can’t die I thought we would have a peaceful life here wake up mom” but he never got a response Asta screamed “Nooo!!!!” he was crying and unfortunately for them the soldiers we're there and captured them.
The soldiers put them in cage both took them to a place where they can suffer until they die, after a while both we’re put behind bars. Deimos said “let us go!” But the soldiers never responded to them. Both Asta and Deimos were filled with hate and trapped in a cell.
Chapter 2: The Suffering In The Cells
Deimos and Asta were starving, they had no food and were slowly dying. The soldiers were not feeding. Deimos said “Asta, are we gonna escape and have a live peaceful life” Deimos was crying when he said that. Asta said “Deimos to be honest i don’t know if we are gonna escape” Deimos asked Asta if Asta lost hope Asta said no because he just doesn’t know the outcome.
5 days had passed and both didn’t have any food to eat. And next to their cells a man asked if they are new here Asta said “yes you have been here for a long time too?” The man said yeah and he tells them he was here for 5 years, Asta asked “how are you even still alive you should be dead right now, you don't get any food” the man said he knows and tells them he was blessed. The man could never get hungry and tells them he is from a village called Fenrath and he tells them that his name is Vorik.
Asta asked “are you someone special in your village” Vorik said that he was kind of someone special. Vorik tells Asta that he used to be a warrior that was very strong; he also tells Asta that he had a family, a wife and 2 daughters. He told them that both were slaughters and that he had their blood on his hands and was really devastated, he also told them he didn’t know what to do after that. And was just there in silence.
Vorik asked Asta if he had a family. Asta said “yeah i had a mother, life was just peaceful in my village until we got attacked by a group of soldiers” Vorik that Asta must have had a good life and asked if Deimos was the only family he now has, Asta said yes and told Vorik that he didn’t want to lose Deimos because he deeply cared about Deimos. Vorik said “Asta there are so many gods in our world” Vorik said that there are many gods that can destroy big lands and that humans are weak compared to gods. Asta asked if humans could also become gods, Vorik said “ it could be possible if a human slaughters it but that would be impossible because gods can destroy anything.
Chapter 3: Final Moments On This Cruel Earth
2 weeks have gone by and both were starving. Asta was weak and frail; he couldn't really move because of no food. It was quiet there. There were rats in the cell. Asta quietly said “Deimos I don't take I have much time on this earth….I really wanted us to live a peaceful, now look at us I think I see the heavens” Deimos was crying and telling Asta not to die, and Deimos was also starving because of hunger.
Deimos was very hungry and weak, Deimos also thought that he saw the heavens too. 2 weeks have gone by now and Asta could not even move. It was so silent there and then Asta said “I think I will die very soon when we see each other in the afterlife. Let's start over” and finally Asta took his last breath, leaving deimos all alone. It was so quiet, and then Vorik called Deimos and said ‘hey kid was that your brother because we spoke alot” Asta didn’t remember anything because he was sleeping.
Deimos asked who he was and Vorik told Deimos his name, Deimos said “oh i didn’t know Asta had friends here” it was so quiet there, Deimos told Vorik that he wanted to escape this cruel place, but he doesn't know how and where to escape, Deimos also said “im gonna destroy the god that imprisoned us” he said it with so much anger Vorik said “are you crazy! That's impossible they would kill you” but Deimos ignored him.
Asta his dead body rotting almost just bones, Rats were just eating his body. A soldier came to Deimos and gave him a paper if he wanted to sign a contract and Deimos asked what it was for but the soldier didn’t respond, but if Deimos sign the contract he would become immortal and might also lose his humanity. Deimos didn’t know if to accept.
Chapter 4: The Contract
Deimos wanted to sign the contract and escape, but at the same time, his brother’s dead body was there. Deimos could hear the god's voice. Deimos asked who he was; the god laughed and said, “My name is Orrythis, or you can just call me the god of destruction. It's nothing much, but the reason I'm giving you this is because I get really bored and I just love a challenge.”
But Deimos was still thinking. He looked at Asta, his dead brother's body, and said, “Asta, don't worry. I will avenge you and I'll make sure you didn't die for nothing.” Orrythis asked if Deimos would sign the contract. Deimos looked at Asta’s dead body one more time and signed his name on the contract.
Orrythis said, “Hmph, took you long enough.”
Suddenly, Deimos fell from the sky. He was so scared by the wind that he didn't know if he would survive. But he remembered that he had become immortal because of him signing his name on the contract, and he hit the ground.
Deimos was very injured when he hit the ground and felt a lot of pain. It was raining and there was so much blood, but Deimos was still breathing. It was raining, and Deimos finally got some fresh air, and he was healing pretty quickly. Deimos stood up and felt extremely strong and powerful.
Deimos said, “So I'm immortal and can never die, even when the universe ends… so what? As long as I get to kill Orrythis, then that's alright.”
Deimos found his village and yelled to see if someone was still around, but sadly there was no one. Deimos was devastated and broken, and he was filled with hate and cried. He said, “Don't worry, I will kill Orrythis,” and so Deimos started his journey to defeat Orrythis.
Chapter 5: Deimos, His Journey
Deimos was walking for a very long time. His feet were red and it was hurting, but he never gave up and he walked to the mountains. It was snowing, raining, and the sun was sometimes very hot, and then he saw a seller in the middle of nowhere. The seller called him, but Deimos ignored him, and the seller said, "I know where you came from, you came from the cells of Orrythis the god of destruction."
Deimos asked how he knows Orrythis, but the seller said, "Are you serious kid, are you joking... everyone knows the gods, if you make one wrong mistake they will kill you. But anyways, I saw you falling from the sky and I see that you are just fine so I assumed you came from there and signed a contract too, and by the way, my name is Skjorn."
Deimos sees the weapons the seller has, the seller told Deimos that he could give him 1 weapon for free. Deimos said, "Hey, that sword you have there is sharp and big, I want it."
The seller told Deimos that he could give it to him, but the sword was very heavy but the seller couldn’t do anything about it. He gave Deimos the sword and was generous enough to give him some coins and said, "Hey kid, this is a really corrupted world and some people can’t live peacefully... many children die and many parents also die and you look really strong so do your best to survive."
And then Deimos left and told the seller he was thankful. Deimos was walking for a very long time and he eventually stopped and let his feet heal. He stopped at the ocean, but earthquakes started to appear, birds were flying away. There was so much destruction happening.
Deimos held his sword and it was a lot heavier than he expected and a sea giant was slowly coming up. The sea giant looked at Deimos and said, "Who are you... did you come here to kill me? If it's that then you must have a death wish."
The giant held his axe up and swung it at Deimos, but Deimos was successful to dodge and didn’t get hurt and so the fight began.
Chapter 6: Deimos vs The Sea Giant
The giant swung at Deimos again. This time, Deimos blocked it with all of his strength. The giant kicked Deimos so hard, and Deimos was in a lot of pain and was slowly healing.
The giant said, "You’re so weak… I won't play around." He swung the axe at Deimos and suddenly, Deimos blocked it without any effort.
Deimos said that the giant is the only one dying today. The giant got really mad and tried to step on Deimos, but then Deimos held his foot and threw the giant into the sky.
The giant landed and was in a lot of pain and was trying to stand up, but Deimos was suddenly jumping and stabbed the giant's heart. The giant was in a lot of pain and his healing ability was barely working because of the injuries, but the giant suddenly had a grip on Deimos and threw him.
The giant stood up and Deimos was healing very quickly. The giant made earthquakes appear to try to kill Deimos, but he was unsuccessful. The giant also tried to throw a boulder, but Deimos sliced it in two without any effort. The giant threw more boulders, but Deimos also sliced them. Both were really tired.
The giant swung his axe again, but Deimos sliced it in half too, and the giant was very scared. The giant was running for his life, but Deimos jumped on the giant and stabbed the giant's head multiple times until it fell down. Deimos was on its back and stabbed the giant’s heart multiple times. There was so much blood splattering that it covered Deimos in blood.
The giant tried to grab Deimos with his hand, but Deimos sliced it and then Deimos saw a crystal. Deimos realized that destroying the crystal could kill it. He hit the crystal multiple times with his sword, and then finally, Deimos hit it for the last time and he jumped away from the giant.
The giant looked at Deimos and said, "This isn't over, you hear me, this isn't ov—" and then finally the giant disappeared and Deimos never felt guilt after that.
Chapter 7: The Village Called Varngard
Deimos was laying down on the ground and was in a lot of pain but was healing. He stood up and a few bones needed to heal but eventually he started to walk slowly while he was still healing. Suddenly Deimos heard Orrythis' voice and Orrythis said “hmph you're so weak…. That's all you can do?”
Deimos tried to ignore him but he was still hearing Orrythis and Deimos said “go away.. Your voice irritates me, your voice is the last thing I want to hear you Devil.” Deimos was running away and going crazy because of Orrythis, but eventually he was starting to calm down.
Deimos saw a village named Fenrath and saw that it was in ruins and checked for anyone but unfortunately there was no one alive, he only saw the skeletons of the innocent people that died because of the gods boredom and their games, Deimos realized how evil the gods were because of that.
After a while Deimos saw another village called Varngard, he saw people there and also saw that half of it was destroyed and people there were suffering. He saw it was ruled by someone, Deimos saw a villager and asked “hey who is the ruler of the village?”
The villager told him it was a woman called Velrisa, the villager said “she is an eternal, that means she is not a god but very powerful and has abilities what a human doesn’t have eternals are not a god of something or king of somethings, they are just beings that are superior than humans and we have to pay our debt to stay here if we don’t than she destroys our homes.”
Deimos knew she was also evil after hearing what the villager said he told him that he will kill her.
Deimos was walking to the ruler of Varngard and confronted her and said “you beings you love to kill the innocent that had nothing to do with anything, you love to kill everyone you see and the people die by your own entertainment, game and boredom, what if it was you.”
Velrisa heard him and got really angry by what he said, she used her wings to blast him away but Deimos was unaffected by it, she saw how tough he was and she flew to him and grabbed his neck and flew to the sky and let go and stomped on him, he was falling for a long time and he finally hit the ground. Velria said “ I knew you were just weak, you were just born as a failure. when I see you beings it gives me the urge to kill all of you.”
Deimos slowly stood up like he was very unharmed, Velrisa tried to push him but he wasn’t moving. Velrisa moved away and she charged at him with big claws to try to cut him in 5 pieces but before she could that he decapitated her head.
There was a lot of blood splattering from Velrisa her body and she slowly started to disappear. After that the villagers were thankful that he slayed her, Deimos said to the villagers “be thankful if you want I only killed who needed to be killed.”
Chapter 8: My time in Varngard
The villagers asked Deimos to stay because they wanted to show their gratitude but Deimos told them he didn’t need it. A swordsmith approached Deimos and saw that his sword wasn't sharp anymore and told Deimos that he could repair it for free, the swordsmith said to Deimos “hey I just want to show you my gratitude after all you saved the village, this is the least we can do for you.”
Deimos allowed him to sharpen the sword. A villager called Deimos if he wanted to slay a god, the villager gave him a paper that had the gods name on it and the villager also said “you have Nyxora the goddess of death she can control shadows, can drain life force and can summon spirits of the dead and next is Veyrokh the god of hatred he feeds on anger, and can spread madness in battle, and can make you mad if he wants you to be the last one I know is Eryndor and he is the god of storms he can control lightning, wind, rain and can control hurricanes but be warned there are more gods that I don't know about and there might be a god of the sea to.”
“Yo Deimos your sword is ready” the swordsmith said, Deimos thanked him for his work and Deimos calmly said “i might come here again” the swordsmith also said that Deimos might become a god. “So where are you about to go?” the swordsmith asked.
Deimos didn’t know where he should go because he usually goes to a place that he stumbles upon, the swordsmith gave him a map.
“Hmph if you keep fighting with no armor you're gonna get hurt pretty badly” the swordsmith said, Deimos knew he was right but the swordsmith told him he could offer one last thing and gave him pretty durable armor and wished Deimos good luck.
Chapter 9: Traveling
“So where should I go?” Deimos muttered, he saw a village called Skarnheim and took months to get to Skarnheim but he finally reached it. Deimos walked in and saw nothing because it was an abandoned place, he only saw dust and traps.
He saw a stone that had words on it that he could not understand. He touched the stone and he heard a voice and it said “Skarnheim was once a city full of light… but greed poisoned its heart. The people sought power beyond their grasp, awakening what should have slept together. Fire rained, shadows walked, and the city fell to ruins.
Those who survived never returned to Skarnheim.” Deimos heard everything about its history. “This must have been because of the gods” Deimos muttered.
Deimos didn't know where to go after that. The wind was howling and snakes were slithering across the hot dessert. Deimos was thirsty and needed water and his lips were really dry. Deimos was slowly walking and was about to pass out but he was never going to gave up because of his revenge but the heat had no effect on him.
Deimos couldn’t even sleep, Deimos was very exhausted and he finally laid down. “Asta it's been a long time, too bad I can't see you because of my curse and tell mom I said hello” Deimos said. He looked at his map and saw a place called Kaldspire which was pretty far away.
Deimos saw a boat that could help him get there but what he didn’t know was that the sea was ruled by god and that it was dangerous, Deimos was sailing for a very long time, and suddenly there suddenly currents began to appear and he saw Marathus the god of the sea.
Marathus looked at Deimos and said “you human what are you doing here, you dare enter my territory.” Marathus held his trident and launched it at Deimos, his trident almost hit Deimos and hurricanes and bigger currents started to appear. Deimos didn’t know what to do, and unfortunately Deimos got in the current. After a while Deimos appeared in Kaldspire.
Chapter 10: The Prophecies
Deimos woke up and saw Kaldspire. The place was warm at the right temperature and Deimos also found clean water which he drank and finally felt hydrated. He was walking on the mountains and couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw giants.
“This place is big and there are so many giants I can’t believe a place this colorful exists even after all the wars and gods.” Deimos muttered. A giant saw Deimos, Deimos thought the giant would attack him but the giant didn't want to hurt him and the giant loudly said “you there are you a human, it's okay I don’t want to attack you and lets just be friends also my name is Dravok, jump on my shoulder.”
Deimos held his sword if the giant was a trap and he jumped on its shoulder. The giant told him if he knew the gods' prophecy, Deimos didn’t know what he meant until Dravok said “The gods also destroy humans because they think mortals will make weapons that can kill them and that's what makes them afraid of mortals.”
“I thought the gods only killed people because of entertainment.” Deimos said but Dravok said the gods kill people for dozens of reasons. Deimos also asked if giants also have a prophecy.
Dravok loudly said “our prophecy is that the tall of Kaldspire should never attack the small we should live peacefully as beings and not have wars and if we break these rules then our punishment will be cruel and I consider the prophecy a good one we giants have to live with that and we like to live with that and there are other giants that do not have the same the prophecies as ours but still we do not harm the other giants.” The giant also said to Deimos that humans must also have a prophecy.
“So Deimos, what are you trying to achieve? and why are you travelling?” Deimos said that he wanted to slay all gods that caused destruction.
Dravok wasn’t going to stop him, he just asked if Deimos was sure. “Slaying the gods will be your hardest and biggest job because a human slaying a god is impossible… listen I believe that you are strong but come on slaying a god” Dravok said.
Deimos just wanted to do it because of his family, the giant also said to him that there will come a day that his anger will poison him and make him a different person. Dravok also asked Deimos who he really wants to kill, Deimos “it's Orrythis I want to kill, he should suffer for eternity.”
