CHAPTER ONE. The event
Due to a scary and wide spreading disease known as K1L73R-Z, half the world was infected with this virus. This virus had come from a U.F.O with passengers onboard planning to take over earth, the leader known as Yamaki.
The parts of the world who have not been infected planned to nuke the most dangerous parts of land, hoping to slow the spread if not stopping it. A laboratory not far from a city, was doing research on a piece of Yamaki, which they found is a hive mind entity, controlling everything it infects.
The problem with this facility was they were right next to a site soon to be bombed, do to the world trying to stop the spread. panic raised as researchers tried to run, hide, get away as fast as possible. With this chaos attracted more hive minds to the area, who invaded the laboratory and killed more.
"MAX STOP THE RESEARCH WE NEED TO LEAVE" called out the commander and lead researcher, John Katz. Maxwell Whitelock did not want to lose all his progress on creating bio-engineered weapons using a Yamaki hive mind, "IM SORRY SIR BUT I CANNOT ABANDON THE RESEARCH ITS OUR ONLY HOPE."
With sirens blaring, red light everywhere, gunshots from every angle, and screams being heard from every hall, Maxwell started his last step in his project, to use it on a subject. "MAX YOU CANNOT USE A HUMAN SUBJECT ON IT YET, YOU HAVE NOT EVEN USED IT ON A DIFFERENT SUBJECT AND YOU HAVE SEEN WHAT THAT THING DOES TO PEOPLE WHAT IF YOUR PLANS DO NOT WORK!?"
"I am sorry sir, but i must do it for the sake of humanity." Maxwell felt confident in his work because he noticed something no other researcher noticed. Usually when a hive mind cannot find a host, they will screech and start becoming chaotic the closer other hive minds with host's are near.
This one was still calm even with the hundreds of infected right outside . . . Maxwell KNEW something was different, something he did gave it restrictions, made it. . Tame... Maxwell took a syringe, and filled it with every bit of the hive mind he had been researching on, injecting himself with it.
John witnessed this and still did not trust Maxwell, not wanting him to turn into an infected he shot Maxwell. "Im sorry Maxwell Whitelock, you were my best researcher but i cannot trust your actions." Maxwell, still injecting the hive mind, was then shot in the head. everything went red, blurry, quiet for Maxwell. Suddenly a miracle happened.
CHAPTER TWO. Waking up
He woke up! "Wha- what happened. ." Maxwell, disoriented and confused, stood up, but fell. He felt weak so he decided not to do to much. Something was off though, he felt . . different, as if something made him more powerful, more energetic, less tired, he felt as if he had drunken 100 cups of coffee.
Then he remembered, he was shot, suddenly he felt sick and nauseous, feeling the side of his head where he was shot, but there was no hole, no wound, not even a scar. While sitting against some cabinets, he realizes no one is here. Something is off but he cannot seem to find why.
he tries to remember but only remembers faint screams. He tries to get up but suddenly a black, tentacle like limb extrudes from his body, pushing him up with great force. Freaked out Maxwell calls out wondering what just happened. "WHAT!? Who's there?? WHAT JUST HAPPENED."
Puzzled and afraid, he looks around and sees a blasted open door. So he walks through. As he walks through he sees a crater that looked like the moon had struck the earth. Suddenly remembering what happened, the panic from everyone, the nukes, the hive minds.
Suddenly he hears a voice call out, "Maxwell, you are suppose to be dead, controlled, how are you doing this?" Max now scared looks around. But no one is there. Not a single thing, no hive mind, no alive, no life. Maxwell, now worried that he may be turning, runs back inside grabbing a mug and smashing it, He grabbed a piece and started to contemplate if he should stab himself.
Hearing the voice talking again "I cannot let you do that Maxwell." Maxwell replied "Who are you!? WHERE ARE YOU!? what do you want from me . . " The voice then reveals itself. "I am Yamaki, to you I am an alien, to most the galaxy, i am a king, and to your world, i am a god. I do not know how nor why I am not controlling you, but i cannot do anything with your body or let you do anything to youself, my own body does not even allow me to hurt you in any way."
Something was different though, This hive mind had better English than the others, spoke clearer, and seem to learn about Maxwell at a quick pace, something not any of the hive minds before could do. "I know you are a scientist, and that you have tested on me for weeks now."
Maxwell was scared and confused. "Okay Y-Yamaki if you cannot hurt me then what is going to happen, and how do you speak better than any other hive mind we have seen." Yamaki still angered by the fact that he cannot control replied "if i could control you i would explode your body just to make sure you die.
But to answer your questions, If you agree, Instead of me controlling you . . . You can control me. If you do that then you have unlimited power, The only cost is stamina which has been raised due to me being combined with you. you can create, destroy, kill, control, all you want.
And the reason i am able to do more than the other "hive minds" is because i am the main Yamaki embodiment. I control them all, I lead them all, I am the only "hive mind" truly in control. all the things you call hive minds are my minions.
The only problem is now that i have no body to control and no way to escape your's, they walk freely without command. Technically zombies is what your kind would call them. But with your power i believe everything will be fine." Maxwell astonished, agreed excitedly. Feeling better and awake, Maxwell goes outside to practice.
CHAPTER THREE. Training
Maxwell, heading outside, decides to practice with his newfound abilities. first he tries summoning dummies to practice moves on. Yamaki explains how to summon since Maxwell was struggling. "In order to summon something properly and guaranteed each time, you must use hand gestures like you about to use it. So for a dummy, THINK of the dummy and raise your hands like your holding a sniper." Following this information, Maxwell properly summons 2 dummies. There is more to come in the future.
CHAPTER FOUR. Combat
Now Maxwell decided to try out the things he could do with the powers of yamaki. While speaking to Yamaki he learned that he is able to use Yamaki as a suit-like ability, basically transforming into him but still in control, turning his own body into what Maxwell called, ink, which is what Yamaki is made of.
Switching into this form, he was able to stab with his arm, extending it into a giant spike and piercing the dummies, he sunk his feet into the floor, aiming through the floor, and creating a spike trap right below.
He decided to also summon a gun, an imaginary one, one not possible through his own world. a rail gun that transforms into a scythe. for hours upon hours he practiced combat and summoning, soon tiring himself out. he decided to rest for the day.
CHAPTER FIVE. The city
The next day Maxwell decided to create a city in the crater. First he started with the headquarters, then the buildings around it, he learned he could also create portals to other worlds and places like other worlds and dimensions.
Maxwell was only able to create a shop, a few houses, the headquarters and raised the city into the air making it float, naming it "Sanctuary" he got too tired to do any more soon after. In his free time he decided to test his abilities on actual opponents, so he found a hoard of hive minds and killed them with ease.
CHAPTER SIX. The invitation.
in the time he created his city, he also got an invitation to some tournament, a fighting tournament between mortals with gods powers. he decided to join since he already has a god's power, using his portal ability he teleported to the arena, waiting for his turn.
